Welcome to Shorty Bulls Canada! We are a breeders of good quality Shorty Bulls, with an excellent history of  breeding  American Bulldogs for about 7 years.

We have been searching for a smaller breed to add to our kennel by looking for a different kind of bulldog.  Through extensive research, we fell in love with Shorty Bulls.

Martin and Kinga from Steel City American Bulldogs are working in partnership with John and Lynda from Kawartha Kennels.

Shorty Bulls are everything you want in the perfect urban dog, beginning with the small size – about 40 lbs. and smaller, measuring 15 inches or less at the shoulder. Shorty Bulls are happy, outgoing and friendly dogs that are a pleasure to walk in the park.  They are happy to meet people and other dogs.This charming dog is very curious and will investigate the surroundings.

Shorty Bulls are very healthy so they can participate in a lot of sports that were designed specifically for bigger dogs, like protection sports or weight pulling.They love to chase things that move, it is a big game for them.

Shorty Bulls are natural comedians, it is impossible not to laugh when you are around them.  They are great companion animals that adapt to different environments and situations. They can lead a very active lifestyle but are able to adjust to a quiet life with scheduled time for exercise making them a perfect match for any prospective dog lover.

Our goal in breeding is to preserve the temperament of a Shorty Bull. We work with our Shorty Bulls to receive Canine Good Citizen Certificates as well as Therapy Dog certificates. We also participate in Rare Breed Shows.

We whelp the litters at our home under strict supervision from our vet. We socialize our puppies with other dogs, cats and people. Our Shorty Bulls are registered with Bully Breed Coalition. Our puppies come registered, with clean bill of health and vaccinations. We guarantee the health of our pups.
